Free for students and instructors at a subscribed school
While your school is subscribed and has at least one aircraft, every member uses Aerial at no cost, personal logbook included. Joining a school is free, by invitation or with your school’s join code.
Every aircraft in your school’s fleet that hasn’t been retired, with a minimum of one. Aircraft that are in maintenance or grounded still count. Retired aircraft don’t.
What happens when we add or retire an aircraft?
Your bill follows your fleet automatically. Within about 15 minutes of adding or retiring an aircraft, your subscription updates and the difference is prorated on your invoice. Credits for retired aircraft apply to future invoices. There is nothing to report by hand.
Do students and instructors pay?
No. While your school is subscribed and has at least one aircraft, every member, including students and instructors, uses Aerial at no cost, personal logbook included.
How do students and instructors join a school?
Joining is free. Your school can send you an invitation to accept, or give you its join code so you can request to join and a school admin can approve you.
What happens after the free trial?
Both plans start with a 14-day free trial for first-time subscribers. You add a card in Stripe Checkout to start it (schools do this during setup), and you are not charged during the trial. Unless you cancel before it ends, your plan continues as a monthly subscription at the price shown at checkout.
What happens if a payment fails?
Aerial keeps working through a 14-day grace period while you update your payment details, and we let your billing contact know. If the payment is still outstanding after that, the account becomes read-only: your data is kept and you can still sign in and view it, but editing is paused until billing is updated. Going read-only never deletes your school or its records, and full access returns once the payment goes through.
How do I cancel?
Cancel anytime from the billing page in Aerial, which opens Stripe’s billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing month, and you keep full access until then.
Do you offer volume or enterprise pricing?
Yes. If you run more than 20 aircraft, email us at contact@flyaerial.app to talk about volume pricing. We are also happy to discuss annual contracts, invoicing or purchase orders, and custom terms. The self-serve School plan is open at any fleet size, so you can start a free trial while we talk.
Do prices include tax?
No. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any applicable taxes. Where we are required to collect a tax, it is shown on your invoice.
Who owns our data, and can we export it?
You do. Your school keeps ownership of the data it puts in Aerial, and pilots keep ownership of their own training records. Logbooks, organization reports, and the activity log export to CSV or PDF.
I fly without a school. Which plan do I need?
The Personal Logbook plan, $4.99 a month. If you later join a subscribed school, your school covers your logbook and you can cancel your personal plan.
